A bougainvillaea twig planted upside down does sprout with branches, but to know how the young plant continues to grow you have to watch it grow. I will post its picture tomorrow. Good observers would immediately identify that this twig planted upside down by looking at the thorns.

The twig does not seem to be doing very well but is still green. The one that was planted upright has leaves growing larger.
